This is what my friend has heard from the vet:

"Ultrasound as far as he can see shows that it's one mass only, and likely on the spleen. I'm leaning towards having them remove it while he is strong and has no symptoms of anything. They are going to do xrays (chest too deep for ultrasound to see there) to make sure there is no involvement in the heart (they wouldn't want to do surgery if there is). Dr. Jim said there still could be stuff in there that he'd see when he opens him up, but that he's not seeing other stuff on ultrasound."

She'll talk with the vet more when she picks him up and will schedule the surgery.

She's fine, still showing the stmemory problems, but is in good spirits..... wants out, but is trying to be patient.

Good thoughts for Exit2Eden as she goes into the hearing room for the first of the two girls who attacked her.

Neuro says it's not TIA b/c she's having symptoms still after 24 hrs (memory.) there's some blood "specks" on her brain, he says they look like dried blood from a recent head injury, she insists she hasnt had any, but you know this is the lady who passes out and gets gashes in her haid...... he said he thinks there may be some dementia, when I mentioned her being less inhibited, he said "yes, that's not her fault"

He also put her on Kepra, and antiseizure medication...... I've seen it have AWFUL side effects in a couple of kids I work with.... we'll see

She's actually hysterical. Very funny, very alive, in as good spirits as she'd been when we were in new hampshire. but she is more silly.
