This is what my friend has heard from the vet:
"Ultrasound as far as he can see shows that it's one mass only, and likely on the spleen. I'm leaning towards having them remove it while he is strong and has no symptoms of anything. They are going to do xrays (chest too deep for ultrasound to see there) to make sure there is no involvement in the heart (they wouldn't want to do surgery if there is). Dr. Jim said there still could be stuff in there that he'd see when he opens him up, but that he's not seeing other stuff on ultrasound."
