YAY! that's a lot of pickles!

I think I'll have enough tomatoes for the first batch of tomato sauce and salsa this weekend.
not sure how many more tomatoes I will get. the "early girls" that I didn't get looks like a determinate plant. that's a major portion of my tomatoes. such a disappointment this year. I'll make the best of it.

on a good note, the Ramapo tomatoes are very nice!  10-12 oz. fruit, not too acidic. good flavor. I will plant these again.

My grandma used to store the pickles upside down for a couple weeks, I assume to keep air from coming in.

So we made and canned five quarts of dill pickles.
This is our first time making pickles!
And we pickled a quart of jalapeños. Cause we have plenty.

That sounds WONDERFUL!  I blanched 12 pints of green beans (thanks to my neighbor!) and I was going to do zucchini bread...but that got delayed, lol.

I've never had eggplant.

Lazy8 loves zucchini BBQed.  He usually cuts them into long ways quarters and throw them on the grill with a little salt only.  My favorite is curryed.  We can eat a lot of zucchini.  Our plants are flowering.
