RP now available at 320kps-Shoutcast Naim Exclusive. (Don't tell Bill, it might be a mistake and he will stop it!

I started from the Shoutcast link on RP front page

Click Alternative,search for Radio Paradise and all the streams will show.

It sounds good to me but who knows the original quality, if it's MP3 it probably won't make much difference. I get rebuffering problems now and again (player is Squeezebox Touch) but there again, I got rebuffering at 192 O.V.

..been on a milkrun..the link I found said AAC,playing through FStream it shows station Id and song titles.

It is definitely an AAC stream. It showed up at 321kbps in Winamp.

I copied the link and put it in itunes. it says bitrate unknown.
the AAC streams show up as unknown as well. I think this shoutcast stream is one of the AAC streams.

I doubt very much that anyone could reliably tell the difference between 192k Ogg & 256k Ogg (or AAC) in a double-blind test. That's a testament to what a great job the Ogg crew has done on the codec.

Those lucky Naim folk! I have to admit, though, that I'm pretty thoroughly satisfied with the 128k AAC stream. Sounds better than the 192k MP3 stream to my ears, though I can't speak for the ogg stream. I suppose I should try that and see.
