20 minutes of commercials per hour, and the little bit I've seen, half of the remaining 40 minutes is given up to athlete profiles and back-in-the-studio interviews and analysis. But theoretically you can watch whatever event you like, online. Which would be fine but I can't get it to work. Thanks, Optimum! Once things have settled down I might try doing a proxy/BBC setup.

DVR is the only way to watch the Olympics, imo.

There is a great iPad app to follow the Olympics.

It is the Reuters 2012 London Olympics app and it is free for both the iPhone and the iPad.

Beautiful pics, lots of stats, medal standings.  Nice for a speedy check.

They struggled in the match shown last night, against a team seeded 15th.  They are seeded 3rd.  Going to be tough for them to get the gold, or maybe even a medal.  They still show prolonged flashes of dominance during matches, but it is difficult for them to sustain it through entire matches. They cranked it up after losing first set last night.  Maybe that was the spark they needed, but I don't think motivation is a problem for them.  They are just a bit past their peak.

IMO there is a lot of sexism in the Olympics. Why do the women gymnasts have to wear makeup, for example. And in some cases, women have to fly coach, while the men get to fly 1st class.
