Can you give a brief explaination why you have to switch to OS9 to RIP?
At our shop in Fairfield, NJ, we can RIP equally from either OSX or OS9 (Classic running in OSX). Even our old Heidelberg DI Press can handle it, as long as we send Postscript Level 2.
How big is your shop? We run a Kodak/Creo Prinergy work flow that is incredible. Every file we get in gets converted to a PDF for imposition and output via Prinergy. |

I know this doesn't answer your question, but YMail.app shows the status of your Yahoo mail account in your menu bar. See ymail.sourceforge.net
Google mail also has a menu bar app. mail.google.com/mail/help/notifier/index.html |
