Right now at this very moment Ditty is at a Duran Duran Concert in Austin at the Austin Music Hall.
I imagine this is the kind of nonsense going on in there. |

Just heard Girls On Film today on the RADIO!
That was a nice trip in the WayBack Machine.
Kinda wish it had been Planet Earth, though. |

Boosie - You are very welcome! I hope that ditty pops in here tomorrow and lets me know if she could hear the song I called her for as well.
Excellent show tonight with Duran Duran and the Orlando Philharmonic. Now I just need to get a couple of hours of sleep before my classes tomorrow.
I'll try and post a review tomorrow evening or Wednesday.

Jen, thanks for your concert call!!! It came in as I was walking back to my car after a very long, hard day...and Ordinary World was THE most perfect song you could've sent me....
I walked along the street gazing up at the San Rafaels and enjoying the rare warmth we had today, singing along softly with Simon....

Here is my one and only Duran Duran story:
When I was in high school I had some girl friends who were HUGE fans. They made a big banner to take to the concert and included their phone numbers on it. When the big night came, one of the girls got sick and couln't go. She was DEVASTATED! At some point during the concert, the banner made it to the stage. For some reason, the band actually called all the numbers later that night. Unfortunately, my friends had gotten a hotel room for the night so the band mostly just talked to their parents - who they woke in the middle of the night. Except for the girl who was sick, who actually got to talk to them, which more than made up for missing the concert. The moral of this story is that if you are going to make a banner and throw it on stage - be sure to include your hotel key! |

The "boys" are coming to my damn hometown after I leave here! They're doing an outdoor show at The Fraze Pavillion (where Sheryl Crow taped the DVD "Come On America.")!!!!
Damn it! It's so up close and personal! (And I know someone who works there and will most likely get to hang with them!)

I'll probably just utilize it to the utmost of it's slingshot capacity and use it to get my phone number up on stage.

Last concert I went to, Kid Rock, the only shirt I saw lifted was that of a 40-something housewife-looking gal who flashed one of the security guards AFTER the concert. That whole scenario seemed pretty odd to me.

There really isn't one, but you know, I haven't been to a concert since 1999, and it wasn't the bra-throwing type, but now that I have a few lacy ones, I might have to throw one if I ever see Simon Le Bon in person.
Did I just say that out loud?
Yes you did.
And you can have Simon, just leave John for me. |
