Hi everyone,

this is more of a translation question..

The context is the security of computer systems for financial reporting, internal controls, contingency plans and disaster recovery.

The German term is "katastrophensicher" (literally catastrophe-proof)
but we suspect the proper term for this would be fail-safe.

Questions:
1. is the term "catastrophe-proof" or "disaster-proof" even used in this context?
2. is there a distinction between failsafe and disaster-proof (if used)?

The Zune supports MPEG-4 in the same way that Windows supports Kerberos. Their version started out with the standards-based protocol, but ended up as something that doesn't meet the standards, or work with other products that do. Microsoft is stretching the truth past the breaking point by labeling their proprietary products with the brand names of the Real Thing.

The open-source FFMPEG CODEC can read and write WMV content. FFMPEG is usually found in other open-source software, such as MPlayer and VLC media players. Beware of pay-for DVD rippers. The ones that I've tried turned out to be poorly-packaged collections of freeware that was harder to use than if I had just downloaded the various freeware programs. But if brandog endorses AnyDVD, it's worth looking into.

are you sure they don't support mpeg4? zune cs says they do, but the guy sounded a little unsure. thanks for the info

OK - a utility for windows that's pretty sweet & simple is:

Skysoft's AnyDVD - a process-level TSR that disables CSS copy key encryption.

I have a lot of video editing software, but don't use it much (time? me?) - Vegas or Premiere should get you what you need, though. AVI, WMV, MPEG...

Copy the URL Link (Email & IM) address under the picture you want to use in your photobucket and then in your profile choose Remote avatar and paste the address there next to it. Then click Change Avatar.

The image you want to use has to be smaller than 10KB and no bigger than 80x80 pixels.
