Camel was one of the great ones! Not very well known in the 70's in the USA... My friends and I listened to "Twister" over and over.

The San Jose Chamber Ensemble does weird stuff like that.

They're a bunch of students from San Jose State and they transcribe bands like Metallica and The Beatles into chamber music. It's very strange to hear "Helter Skelter for Cellos and Brass".
