Looks great. Mine would change slightly each time a new round was made, until everybody was slugging straight vodka out of the bottle. Maybe by the third round, I think.

Alexandra wrote: Thanks! I would love to beat last year's time....but if I don't, that's okay. As long as I have fun. I just wish I had a posse to meet up with, after the finish line. My sister was usually the one who was there.......and she's 2000 miles away. After a hot bath with Dr. Teal's bath salts and a nap - then I'll come in for a drink. Maybe my Shock Top raspberry wheat ale...or Blackstone Chardonnay. That's the spirit!
The posse here will be thinking of you. Just set your vision on the Shock Top and Blackstone and that should be enough to help you beat last year's time. |

The other day we visited Freeman's Liquor, perhaps the best liquor store in town in terms of selection. I fell in love with a bottle of 18 year-old Macallan; I think that will be this year's scotch purchase. |

I'll be tasting this later this afternoon. Only one bottle 'cause it's a bit under half the price i normally pay for a six-pack of my favorite brews. But it's a long week-end and i figured a needed a treat. (I got a few more specialty beers for this week-end but they were priced normal and on sale)

The weather has been wonderful, highs in the low 80s, lows in the 70s, lots of sun.
And Islander, you would love the marinas here. There are a lot of them, so there's always room for one more. Come on down!
I'll be right there, grab us some bait and keep Beez away from the good cooler until I get there. |

Breakfast this morning was pancakes and sausage ($5) with a side of grits ($2), and it was great, both in quality and quantity. We skipped lunch and hiked Lucuyan National Park. Beautiful.
Last night was a different story. Bahamian Rum, more exactly, Bahamian Mango Rum mixed as per the suggestion on the bottle with cranberry juice, 2oz rum to 6oz juice. 45 proof, and very sweet. Three of those and I was ready for bed, but I was up again in an hour and every hour past that. Good for the kidneys, L tells me. Hah! I think I'll have a glass of Chilean Chardonnay with dinner and call that good.
Dinner last night was fish and chips, strips of Atlantic Red Snapper that were wonderfully spiced and so much better than the Red Rock Cod they pass off as Snapper on the Pacific Coast. Also had Conch Fritters for the first time. I may just ask for a couple orders of that for tonight's dinner, which L is now suggesting we head for, so more later if the wi-fi is still up when we get back. It's kinda spotty.
