Ok, my mix has been completed for some time I just have not done the (hard and expensive part) printing and putting together the covers, inserts, songlists, burning CDs, printing and applying CD labels. I should have it ready to ship by this weekend and will probably get them out Monday. ETA should be end of next week!
Edit: Almost done just waiting on color print cartridge (ran out). Will have them completed this weekend and shipped out one week from today. Be on the lookout for them at the end of next week. Sorry for delay.

A lot of the songs are new to me, but still. I love music enough that it should have done something to me. Anything! But i was flat. Ok, the next day i started with a Poi Dog Pondering CD that i liked a lot on the week-end when i listened to it. Well, in the car it didn't sound that great. So after a couple of spins, i put your Mix CD back in. Did i even lsiten to it the day before? Whoa! It was rocking my socks off! Good job! When i first heard Molly.... Molly M-M-M-Molly Such a curious name I say it again and again And it still sounds just the same Molly M-M-M-Molly I thought i would burn a copy and give it to this little girl my daughter babysits occasionally. Her name is Molly. I thought she would get a kick out of that. Then i listened some more.... Turns my lovelight on Every night we been talking on the phone Til just about dawn On a drive down I-95 With Molly's snow-white hand in mine, Chemical factories and halogen lights And shivers down my spine Can I be thinking thoughts of love? Why does this always take me by surprise? I must confess her sweet caress Hit me like Cupid's arrow right between the eyes Molly M-M-M-Molly, make it better now, Molly M-M-M-Molly, make it alright Then again...maybe not! Oh, and i just had to sing along out loud to Carmelita... Carmelita hold me tighter I think I'm sinking down And I'm all strung out on bacon On the outskirts of town Molly was my favorite tune in the mix, always up the volume for that one. Glad it finally took to your liking. |

Throughout the history of human kind folks have sung odes to the women in their lives. I believe the very first recorded song was "Eve" by Adam and the Fig Leafs. So I put together an eclectic mix of songs written for particular girls. I was messing around with the order and found that it actually flowed pretty good alphabetically so I left it that way. Some of this mix is familiar I'm sure and some not so much. Just like GIRLS. Ok, my turn. I listened to it at work last week. All week in the car. 'Cept i had Friday off, so 4 days. I must admit that I have thought about doing a theme like this for a couple of years. And I will admit that the thought of Jamie's Goin Bad into Janie's Got A Gun had crossed my mind more than a couple of times.
Wake Up Little Suzie ... who knows it could still happen. This is what makes doing this stuff so much fun. |

Sorry, all, for chiming in so late. I've received ColdMiser's latest effort, but it's sitting on my desk and I haven't had the chance to give it my undivided attention. I'm trying not to look at the rest of this forum and see the track list, since you all know I like to be surprised.
Things have been real busy for me, but after the month of June I should get some relaxing time to catch up on things. And, sadly, I don't visit RP too often these days, but do listen in. |

Really loved the Richard Thompson and Crenshaw closeout. Overall good stuff, I was just thankful it didn't have anything to do with the Crue.

Gutsy to try and make something like this work, cuz like you said the alphabetical worked best. Lotsa tracks I never heard before and some knowing smiles mixed in along the way. Looking up at the list, I can safely say that is a bunch of artists I would never have thought about ever seeing together in a mix. Nicely done !
