they say this will be the last day of moderate summer temperatures...the gates of hell are about to open in central oklahoma—-only 90 today, though!

compared to the past 3 junes i've experienced in central oklahoma....this one is magnificent.... today, mid to upper 80's, sunny, slightly humid...we rode our bikes and did not die. this time last year, it was 110 and insufferable!

This is The Cape of Storms.
And it is mid-winter....but today is so pretty, warm, clear-skied and gorgeous that methinks I shall take myself off to the Cape Point Nature Reserve for a while.
Or take a slow saunter through the Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens.

Or step out for a long walk on the beach.

It's a righteously beautiful day......
