Avast is trainable, but only by the folks that really want to take that much time out of their day. If not, it is overly aggressive......

Links should be forced to open in a new window. That appears to be broken. I'll fix as soon as I can.

Can't you right click and open in a new tab/window?

I've seen it periodically, but not on every link. I've gotten in the habit of right clicking and selecting Open Link in New Tab.

Whenever I click on a link that's posted in RP, the link opens in the RP window. Not a big deal, except that the link still thinks it's RP, even though it's showing content from a different site, which winds up borking both. I have to close the browser window and open a fresh one. Would be good if external links were forced to open in a new window.

Happening now to me, more so than the past. Was only an occasional issue.

Also getting posts to actually post is getting more difficult. My standard work around is to highlite all text and and right click to copy before hitting submit in case the post does not go through. If it doesn't, I'll try to repost and click to paste so at least all the text is not lost.

yes. As I understand it, the two databases - forum and song comments - don't share the same user ID structure - or layout, and that's where part of the confused db is coming from.

Naturally it's working fine now. It's a peak-times-only phenomenon & should be a little better as of a couple of days ago than it's been for the past few months.

I'm pretty sure I know what causes this, and the fix isn't a particularly easy one. I'll try to find time for it soon.

Yeah, probably. But that doesn't 'splain the multiple comment posts. Never figured that one out.
