No, you don't get to keep 'em but I am on a personal mission to own less stuff so it is perfect for me.
(And if you aren't already a member, I can get you a free month which should be plenty of time to see all of Season Four and check out some cool independent and foreign stuff that most places don't carry.)
Netflix is great (wish I was a member)... but it's not so much about seeing them (I saw season 4 in first run), but owning them; die-hards like me have to have our 'collections'. Plus, Netflix doesn't send any royalies to our favorite creators, and doesn't help convince studios to make spin offs and movies like DVD sales do (see firefly DVD sales)... It's pretty much a given amon the throngs of Joss Wedon-ites on the internet that your not really 'one of us' unless you're buying the stuff for yourself (actually, it may sound bad, but I kinda like how the community has policed iteself that way, and it helps us 'vote with our dollars' since we NEVER beat the brain-dead reality TV watching masses when it comes to ratings).
Anyone that's feeling generous can send me a copy of Season 4.

The fourth season just came out on DVD. Not my favorite season but it has been great seeing it again. Now we just have to wait for season five!
Didn't see any of the last season except for the final episode which I watched twice in a row and thought was absolutely, splendidly perfect!
Anyone that's feeling generous can send me a copy of Season 4. I wasn't expecting it this soon (apparently there was a change in the schedules or something, cause I though Angel 4 came out in Oct. and Buffy 7 came out in Sept, but apprently Angel was in Oct and Buffy's been pushed to December). Anyway, I'm having some owing money to the government issue and probably won't be picking up any new DVDs for a few months, especially $45 sets. So, if anyone really likes me...
Oh, and if you've not seen Angel season 4, get ready for the biggest "ick" moment EVER!!!!
Season 5 was really good edie... But not if you don't like Spike and really like Cordelia. ("You're a wee puppet man")
As for the final episode of Angel, I loved it up until the very end. That sucked with a huge, sucking sound. What a non-ending.
Just watched the final episode here in the UK and the ending was a whole lot better than the last episode of Buffy - and it left it open for another series (please). This was by far the best series of Angel, although series 1 was good, and it was even a match for Season 5 of Buffy.
The episode with Angel as a muppet was a classic.
So when is Spike going to get his own show? He is by far the best character to come out of both shows and was the real (archetypal) hero of both of them.

So, now you see why i would make the assumption that Dawn had just lived with him... you know they split up and one parent gets one kid, the other gets one.
So... I can't remember if Dawn had all the memories you would think she'd have... Mayor turning into giant snake, etc.
By the way, do you have a pointer to the animation. That would be cool if I could look at it.
I'm looking, I'm looking... it was a LONG time ago that I saw the site.
Dawn seems to have all the memories of their early adventures... Angel and her know each other, and he left over a year before she was 'born'. I also think they wrote in an out for her not knowing everything about the past, with the plot device early in season 5 that Joyce insisted that Dawn be 'sheilded' from the bulk of Buffy slaying activities.

He appeared a few times, the but not much 'really' after the first couple of seasons. Early on in season 6 Buffy refers to him as 'her shiftless absentee father'. He seemed to get more and more distant. I think he was on a carribean cruise with his secretary when Joyce died. He seemed to REALLY distance himself after Joyce died, and they in turn hid from him after Buffy died because with both Joyce and Buffy dead, they were afraid he'd make Dawn go live with him.
It became apparent early on, like season 2, that Giles had replaced Hank as Buffy's (and eventually Dawn's) father.

Right... but I thought that the memory was that Dawn lived with her dad most of the time. I must have just imposed that idea. Actually thinking about it, there wasn't much mention about their father. Was he dead?
