Last night I was awakened at about 4 am when I felt something wet on my ankle. Turns out it was the back half of a mouse. Stinky was curled up besides my head asleep. Guess he saved half the mouse for me. Gave it a burial at sea.

Good to know, but did he have front claws?
Ceili doesn't - so I hope it won't hinder her catlike abilities. So far it never has...she learned to adapt.
He still had his claws and he was a tree cat. Most of the day he was 30 plus feet up in the trees terrorizing squirrels. He would catch them and bring them in the house alive and unharmed. He figured out how to open the attic window which was a casement window and let himself out if I wasn't around. He would leap out and literally hit the ground running.
My cat Baldrick used to jump 33 feet from an attic window and hit the ground running and he never got hurt. The first time I saw him doing it I thought he was a gonner for sure but it seems cats are pretty resilient.
