I just saw Batman Begins and I am knocked out! I always knew that the story could be told without camping it up and being silly about it. I loved everything about this movie, even poor ol'd brain kidnapped Katie. Though, there was one scene with Liam Neeson where I know the wags will enjoy making an Anakin Skywalker comparison. But this is one cool movie. Oh, I saw it on the IMAX screen...really cool. Go see this movie.
I liked the movie as well, however, I had a weird experience: i too saw it on IMAX, basically because I think it's an incredible way to see movies--i saw Spiderman 2 on IMAX which was possibly the most amazing cinematic experience I've ever had--however, Batman Begins on IMAX made me so motion sick that I could barely watch the film. So I actually look forward to seeing it again on DVD!

I was very impressed with it overall, especially with the new Batmobile. Well thought-out and nicely executed. The new look and feel are excellent.
Here's what I didn't like. OK, so we have a giant microwave emitter beaming out massive amounts of radiation to heat the water in the pipes and make it burst out as steam. Ok so far. So why doesn't it also cook everyone in its path? People are, after all, mostly water.

Best movie so far this summer. I felt there could have been better casting than Katie Holmes in that part. Only negative for me. I liked how it seemed to blend all the incarnations of Batman - '50's comic, Dark Knight, etc.. I don't usually see movies twice in a theater but this will be an exception.

Glenn and I went to see Batman this last Saturday and we loved it. We were hoping for a dark somewhat serious movie and we weren't disappointed.

definitely a way cool movie! I thought the Scarecrow effect was awesome. And it was very smart about a lot of things, like all of Arkham Asylum getting out and being affected by the drugs. This can explain future crazies and baddies. I did have one question though about the whole thing. If Lucius Fox needs a couple weeks to replicate the antidote for mass production and permanent, deadly effects take hold within a couple of days, wouldn't everyone die? Just somethign they never explained is all.

In agreement so far.
ACTUALLY darker, grittier, instead of MOCK darker.
Batman was angrier, he growled well. Scarecrow good choice as Villain, well thought out/executed. Even WHY Batcave was there...nice.
Rare to see Oldman as a Good guy. 4/5!
I saw it last night and really liked it. I don't have the comic background, just general knowledge from others (and the 60s series, of course j/k, don't hit me, please, purists). I did not like the hallucinogenic fright feature (maggots) and don't get why it was there (other than fright/gore effect) if the drug was mainly panic-inducing. I liked all of the rest of it. The casting was terrific, I thought. Cool to see Gary Oldman playing that kind of character (and to see pre-Commissioner Gordon). Rutger Hauer didn't ham up the bad guy he portrayed, and what's not to like about Morgan Freeman as the guy given free rein to develop the hell out of his technologically advanced imagination?

I saw it on Thursday. Thought it was the best of the Batman movies.
