We started a new BBC series yesterday from Netflix mail called "Copper." It is set in NYC 5-points area in the 1860s. It is really good. (Copper is a police detective, btw.)

After watching the Swedish version of the Wallanderbseries I watched all 23 episodes of "Wire in the Blood". Featuring psychologist Tony Hill. A bit uneven from episode to episode I would still highly reccomend it if you like the genre. Just started watching "Foyle's War". A mystery series set in WW II England. Only watched one episode but it seems like it will be pretty good.
I'm a big fan of Miss Fishers Murder Mysteries, and I think I read that they were going to be available in the US on netflix. Set in Melbourne Australia in the 1920s, Miss Fisher is a thoroughly modern detective. The sets, music, and clothes are stunning. The 2nd season is about to start on telly here.

Johnny Depp, Ned Beatty, Timothy Oliphant provide voices in this animated spoof on the 'true grit' western. Hilarious for kids and adults. The Hawk animation alone would make Manbird wanna watch it with Tessie. Four and 1/2 stars!

I LOVE Foyles War and Hobiejoe has the hots for Honeysuckle Weeks who plays the sidekick.
Ps thank you for mentioning it is available, I've looked for it before and couldn't find it. I'm rewatching the Joan Hickson Miss Marple series at the moment but this will be next as I missed a lot of them.
