You can say one thing about Emerald's family - they have their priorities striaht - one desert for every dish served at the main meal.

I'm going to the grocery for peaches - and a big half-gallon of french vanilla ice cream 'cause it sounds like those peaches would go great with a scoop or two.

its sounds great for a cold winter's day but I'm wondering what it is - a pie filling? not enough for a beverage, eh?
also, do you have to use heavy syrup cause that just means a pound of condensed sugar, could I use peaches in pear juice?

Pralines and Ice cream
Magic Cookie bars
Pound Cake with strawberries
Turtle Pie

coffee, sweet iced tea, unsweetened tea, Sparkling Cider, or soft drinks

I've made the relish every year since, uh, 1990 or so - NPR in my house -

The horseradish makes it very unique - I love the stuff - it's especially good on sandwiches. and it's as pink as pink can be.

Stuffing w/smoked oysers, mushrooms, and cranberries (no entrails in my stuffing!)

Turkey stock gravy (again, no entrails)

Mashed potatoes (garlic & sour cream)

Baked sweet potatoes (with marshmallows)

Steamed / marinated broccoli

Biscuits (I buy the frozen balls that take all day to warm up & rise)

Pumpkin pie & NY raspberry cheesecake for dessert.

OK - some French Vanilla ice cream, too.

Coffee - most likely White Zin for me & sparkling cider for the kids. And lots of COFFEE to keep me going all day.

Dinner will be served at 2PM (this year, I swear it will be on time!)

Oh, almost forgot...

Dried smoked broccoli (for me) when it comes time to clean up and disassemble the rest of the turkey.
