It appears to me that they're giving recurring pro members the option of renewing their pro accounts (for now). No mention as to how long that will last, but I'm still seeing the option for me to renew my Pro membership 2 years for $44.95.

I'm weighing my options here, 'cause ads don't really bother me that much. Thanks Ad Blocker!

Well I'm sure they'll sell more in the future but right now I can't even see any ads. Checked in 2 browsers in case I installed an ad blocker and forgot.

It appears to me that they're giving recurring pro members the option of renewing their pro accounts (for now). No mention as to how long that will last, but I'm still seeing the option for me to renew my Pro membership 2 years for $44.95.

I could have sworn that when I (quickly) looked at Flickr earlier today it said that my Pro account would renew in October and the cost would be $24.95. I'll check more closely.

You are correct. Your pro account will go up to $50 a year. When you click for more info, it says "keep pro" or "choose free" or something like that, and the option to click for even more info.

I haven't had time to read through this thread carefully, but I'm especially curious to see (somewhere here) that the Flickr Pro accounts are going up to $50 ... I don't see any mention of this over on Flickr regarding my Pro account (which is $25 a year). Am I missing an important detail?

I can't imagine what's going on there.

If you use AbBlock + correctly, there will be no white space where the ads were.
