Yes, I have a younger brother as well. I remember some toys "disappearing" for a while as a result of unpleasant exchanges between the two of us.

with lots of kids in the family, they were usually hand-me-down skates. but sometimes they didn't fit that season, so I would get a new pair.

Always wanted one, but even if we could have afforded it, my folks' rural, highway-adjacent, gravel-drivewayed home really wouldn't have been a good place to ride one.

I remember those episodes! There was more than one, I think they tried to stretch out the story line as long as they could.
