Stop staying up so late watching old TV shows
Stop posting stupid things in this forum
Get on with the yard work from last

My TODAY list...

1. Compile publisher packages *whimper*

2. Run to the copy shop for more print-outs
3. Tour two prospective apartments
4. Take a dear friend to lunch
5. Enjoy California sun while it lasts (more rain coming)

Clean off my desk, written ten times, with varying comments such as "catch up on receipts" and "file that medical claim" and the incessant "where the hell are my glasses" for good measure. And yes that is a bleached-out box turtle shell. And no that isn't your stapler.

My list of things I should have handled but have been put off long enough to be "invisible" to me and my family

1. The piece of wood trim over the laundry room door frame that is missing because we ran out of wood and never got more.

2. The gold swag over my family room bay window that I put up at Christmas and forgot to take down.

3. The tear in the window shade in the dining room that I haven't replaced because we just keep the shade up all the time now.

4. The brown mark on my tectured kitchen ceiling from when I tried to stand up a too-tall Christmas tree in 2001.

5. The patch of dead grass in the side yard from when that piece of wood trim came off the cupula last summer and I didn't see it for a week.

6. The dead dogwood tree by the crosswalk that hasn't magically removed itself from the yard after it expired last winter.

7. The face plate on that electrical outlet by the fireplace that is half askew because I ran out of screws.

8. The doorbell cover that my daughter knocked off the wall when she and the dog were playing fetch and which I haven't put back up because it's ugly, but which I also haven't replaced yet.

9. The hole in the west bedroom window screen that necessitates we keep that wndow closed when it's not bitterly cold out.

10. The twelve -- count 'em -- mis-matched pull knobs on my kitched cabinets from November 1999, when I decided I hated the outdated knobs and bought an assortment to evaluate, but haven't replaced them all yet because the ones I really liked were $6.00 each (and I have buy 58 of them)!

A List of Things I Should Do But Am Procrastinating

1. Schedule an appointment with the specialist
2. Call my insurance company to sort out my homeowners policy
3. Paint the living room
4. Call the kitchen designer and schedule an appointment
5. Go shopping for new clothes
6. Go shopping for a new TV
7. Go shopping for new shoes
8. Go through all my stuff and figure out what I shouldn't have brought with me in my move and throw it out
9. Pick up the recycling bins so they don't just throw the recyclables into the normal garbage
10. Make a budget for the new house
11. Go through all the papers in my filing cabinet and organize them or shred them.
12. get my oil changed
13. Do something job-related while at work

Just so you all know... I hated making this list.
