Yeah I know, nobody likes the alternate universe.  I just don't know where else to post this so suck it up and have a little patience.

So, I bought a cheap quitar at a flea market for the sole purpose of fixing the neck, restringing it, and selling it to the local watering hole for an instrument to have in case somebody wants to pick while they're drinking.   I straightened out the neck, restrung it, and got the built in tuner working.  I put it in the bar and told the manager it would be $150. bucks (this included the stand  bought for 15 bucks) if they wanted it.  I left it there all week and was told today that they didn't want to risk the 150.  That's ok with me, I'll sell it to somebody.  While I was there today an old guy I've talked to many times was at the bar and he said he played guitar and has played in many places since the 60's.  I knew I was on to something (not to sell the guitar but to learn) and I handed him the guitar. Sure enough he knew every fat jazz chord ever invented and played for about an hour.  It was the bomb diggity.  We've made plans to meet once a week to play (so I can pick his brains and learn new stuff) and teach each other different styles.  Every once in a while you just get lucky.

Very cool.{#Cheers}

Should I bump "Planet Indigo," - named for the fictitious thread in my novel? That would be a nice alternative to the alternative!
