How to believe.

Posted by mem_313 - Feb 12, 2011 - 8:53pm
I am in an interesting position right now. The universe has put me to the test. Its giving me exactly what I asked for in some ways and denied me completely in others. does anyone really have an answer why we must suffer to succeed???? how do you believe in yourself???

i recently learned  to reward myself with the knowledge everything happens for a reason and I am destined for greatness. {#High-five}

I actually recently learned this, thay joy & suffering are intermeshed. Without one, you can't feel the other & that suffering is actually a necessary part of life .It helps me to deal with setbacks when I remember this point. And, besides that suffering depends on your vantage point.

Suffering is a human condition that we ALL will be going around & around with until the end of time.

I also have exerienced that sometimes what seems like setbacks to us, is  the universe  actually helping us , but we can't see it.

Follow the path you lay out for yourself.  Make your own plan.  (Plan your work, work your plan)  Believe in yourself.  On the days you don't, and you will have them, confide in someone who loves you.

It goes like this:   Fail, Fail, Fail, Fail, Success.  It doesn't go:  Success, Success, Success.
Keep yourself square in the path of opportunity and keep tryin.

I've always created scenarios in my mind of what my life is like...how it feels, with me doing the things I want to be doing. Like when I kept envisioning myself signing books and being interviewed and making deposit after deposit in the bank. Seeing it, feeling it, leads to believing it....leads to believing in myself doing it.

That's ONE way.

There might always be those voices in your head saying you can't or you're undeserving....or even nay-saying friends who think far more practically than someone who is hell-bent on achieving exactly what they want to achieve. It takes a lot of work and time, but those voices can be quieted or at least toned down....and the nay-sayers can be ignored.

Make it so. {#Meditate}

I like to think that life is like sports.  You put up your best offense and defense and even when you lose you have fun playing.

I don't know if everything happens for a reason-it might.  Personally I feel better thinking that the world is full of random events that are simply that - random.  It allows me to feel more in control of my destiny.  When something hard happens that has nothing to do with my actions I can accept it as random and not feel targeted or tested by the universe or some deity.

I have cancer, which if I'm lucky I'll be part of the 90% that die of natural causes before it kills me.  If I turn out to be in that 10% group - well that sucks - but all I can do is live healthy now.  And of course, most importantly, enjoy life, whatever it brings.

Either way - I do hope good things come your way!

I'm not sure what the universe does or doesn't give. I'm not even sure what it will or won't give. I am sure that your next thought can be realized, although only to the extent that you are directing your gaze. Call it the will to bridge hopelessness, and follow the signs...

You've got to have a 100% success rate in order to believe in yourself?  I am *so* not going there.  I fail most of the time, but when I connect, it's out of the freakin' ball park.  I'll happily ride that one wave for all it's worth and consider the failures to be learning lessons, without which I wouldn't have made that one brilliant connection.

Be yourself. If others don't like it, that's their problem.

The universe does not require us to suffer, we make ourselves do that. We are our own worst enemies.

I am standing for you getting exactly what you want and more.
