Cloudy outside.  Hard to judge the weather from inside.  And 60s are so hard to tell, anyway.  Sometimes cold if there is a breeze and other times blazing if the sun is out.  So I step out to test the day.  To see if it is too cold on this overcast day to eat lunch - with a book for company - on the back porch.  The upstairs back porch that has become my favorite place during the last few weeks.  I step outside and smile.  Feels like an almost perfect shade of balminess today.  As I am standing there (I originally misspelled that as "stanking there" which made me laugh and is more appropriate than I would like to admit) I can't help but stare straight into the neighbor's tree.  The tree is winter grey without a leaf in sight.  It is even with our porch and adds a wonderful sense of treehouse to our porch in the summer.  As ...

Wow!  Imagine if every person on the planet made a new friend today.  That would be a 10% increase in global happiness.  How great would that be?  But you and I only have influence over our own small corner of the world.  Still, maybe we could be friends, and we could change ourselves, and that would be a start towards changing the world.  A step in the right direction.  So what do you say?  Can we be friends?
