i tried to upload a bunch of stuff off of "endtroducing" and "preemptive strike", but was denied. this song is aight, but endtroducing is his masterpiece. it is nice to see some good hiphop in here, even if it is disguised as "electronica" (is that term passe? who cares).

i know what you mean buddy. why would they reject his early stuff? and whats with the ignorance here, shadow is only the grandfather to hip-hop and single-handedly shaped it to what it is. i suppose RP listeners could give a shit about about that. what i would give to hear flat out hip-hop on RP.

I may be committing heresy in the eyes of all the Santana fans, but can the guy break out of his little thing even a little bit?

At least this is Santana in his own element, though. That junk that he put out in the last couple of years, written with all of the current artists, only confirmed how stale and uninventive the guy is.

i am in total agreement. but i never gave a damn about his music so i must be wrong for not likeing him.....it seems i need more proof. if i was a santana fan i would only need one song and id be set.

Singer jailed for killing lover 3-27-04
Cantat said he was deeply sorry for Trintignant's death
A court in Lithuania has sentenced a French rock star to eight years in prison for killing his actress girlfriend during a fight. Bertrand Cantat, 40, was convicted of fatally beating Marie Trintignant, 41, in a Vilnius hotel room last year.
Cantat, lead singer with Noir Desir, had admitted killing Ms Trintignant but said it was an accident.
Prosecutors had sought a sentence of nine years, saying Cantat had known the gravity of his actions.
Impassive
The singer's lawyers wanted a reduced charge of reckless manslaughter, which carried a lesser penalty.

I don't understand. I just can't understand

Bertrand Cantat

Affair that ended in tragedy

Cantat remained impassive as the verdict was announced. Whole article>
