The Pretenders - Stop Your Sobbing
(Apr 10, 2011 - 11:52)
Exellent song! I believe it was penned by Ray Davies of the Kinks.
Really nice seque to this song from Smithereens Wall of Sleep.
Bill, you are too good!

Radiohead - Optimistic
(Jan 19, 2006 - 19:53)
Great great song. Makes you glad to be alive in a time when RadioHead is still making music. I just missed out on Jimi Hendrix - he died when I was about 15 and I didn't start paying attention to him until a year later. So its great to appreciate genius while it is still amongst us. Enjoy it!

I was also going to comment on the great segue from Gimme Shelter to this song, but I guess Bill has used this segue before... It's still great.
Talk Talk - I Believe In You

This is probably the best album they ever released.. I used to play this when doing design work through my headphones...

I wish I had paid more attention to this album when it came out way back when. I was a huge fan of the previous album - Colors of Spring - which is also outstanding. But when this one came out I was disappointed because it was so different than the previous. I love it now. Its unfortunate we can't always appreciate something really good at the time it is happening.

Thank you for reminding me how good this album is.
Philip Glass - Target Destruction
(Jul 16, 2005 - 13:13)
From Duke Ellington to Audio Slave to John Mellencamp to Phillip Glass in less than an hour. Bill: Your brain must be a strange and wonderful place. Nice work! This is what makes RadioParadise so much fun!
Talk Talk - Eden
(Jul 15, 2005 - 11:06)
I was a huge Talk Talk fan when Color of Spring came out. When this album followed it, I thought they had lost it. I was wrong - wish I had given it more patience. Great selection, Bill. Thanks for unearthing things we'd long since forgotten but shouldn't have.
Los Lobos - Will the Wolf Survive
(Jul 08, 2005 - 14:30)
You know, I was just thinking the same thing! I love Will the Wolf Survive, its a wonderful song. But everytime I put it on a mix disk, it is very hard to find a segue song to lead into it. But the seque from What's So Funny About Peace Love and Understanding to this song was glorious - kept the energy revving!

Amazing segue from Peace, Love and Understanding to this.

Cream - Crossroads

Man! What a blast to hear this tune. I agree - an all time favorite.
