Fort Minor - Where'd You Go (w/ Holly Brook) (May 02, 2006 - 10:16) | Thought this was way cool. Not a big fan of the genre, but this was quite listenable. Intelligent rap, excellent vocal breaks, nice beat. What's not to like? Unless you have an "all rap music sucks" mindset, of course. Oh well, musical taste is all opinion, anyway.

Of Montreal - I Was Never Young (Apr 14, 2006 - 08:21) | A friend of mine turned me on to these guys a few weeks ago. This is a massively addictive CD. A lot of the little production flourishes & arrangements that seemed over-the-top quirky really start to work nicely once you've heard them a few times. Highly recommended.

Supergrass - Fin (Jan 04, 2006 - 11:55) | MissIncendium wrote: Does anyone know anything about the inspiration for the Album title?
Rouen is a city in France. I assume it's a bit of bilingual wordplay. Kind of like bilingual foreplay, but not as French.

Sons & Daughters - Red Receiver (Dec 02, 2005 - 11:44) | RADIOSLOTH wrote: Pippin and Merry have put out an album with the Violent Femmes. Wow!
Like this a lot. It's got that "deliberatly rough-edged" indie thing going on (not a big turn-on for me normally), but a quality tune.

But it's a really, really nice elevator :-). With great music.

Michael Penn - No Myth (acoustic) (Sep 14, 2005 - 16:29) | This isn't the version from the album. This is very nice, but the album version had a bit more "pep" to it. Love to hear that one too sometime.
