Doves - Lifelines
(Jul 30, 2009 - 05:06)
Never would dare to compare Coldplay with the Doves...atmosphere is far more interesting in the latter, melodies are usually more appealing in the former.

Morphine - In Spite Of Me
(Mar 29, 2009 - 12:05)
Lovely song, beautiful lyrics and instrumentation. My favorite morphine song.

The Derek Trucks Band - Down In The Flood

(Mar 10, 2009 - 12:38)
Great album.{#Yes}

Ludovico Einaudi - Primavera

Vivaldi in each and every square, arranged in 90s style piano OST style.

Alejandro Escovedo - Sister Lost Soul
(Mar 04, 2009 - 11:32)
I voted for this one in the Listener Review Channel, a catchy song.

(Jan 05, 2009 - 03:06)
That slide guitar bumps this to a 7.{#Bananajam}

Elbow - One Day Like This
(Jan 03, 2009 - 03:01)
Nice string arrangement.

The Essex Green - Rue De Lis
(Dec 29, 2008 - 06:15)
Don´t think twice, it´s all Right. {#Ask}

Belle and Sebastian - The Boy With The Arab Strap
(Dec 23, 2008 - 10:16)
Not bad for a very simple 3 chord song....6 or maybe 7?

Guster - Dear Valentine
(Dec 23, 2008 - 04:41)
Not bad, I can hear some the Doves in this one,....

Dusty Springfield - The Look of Love
(Dec 22, 2008 - 02:15)
What about Spooky or Son of the Preacher Man, Bill? {#Silenced}

Jimi Hendrix - All Along The Watchtower
(Dec 16, 2008 - 08:35)
752 "10"s, that must be one of the highest rankings in RP and growing,...

Emiliana Torrini - Jungle Drum
(Dec 13, 2008 - 04:12)
Crazy Frog?

Electric Flag - Killing Floor

Madrugada - Majesty (Live)
(Dec 11, 2008 - 08:51)
Thanks Bill for this, one of the most beautiful songs I have listened to, Sirens would be great, too.

Blackfield - End of the World
(Dec 04, 2008 - 05:38)
Not bad, maybe a little bit grandiloquent...

Band of Horses - Is There A Ghost
(Dec 04, 2008 - 01:31)
A nice way iof making a song with just 3 chords,....

Madrugada - Hard To Come Back
(Oct 10, 2008 - 11:07)

I don't know Spanish.  I got this off Babelfish.

"Es duro Regresar" (Spanish for Hard to Come Back)

Wilco - Walken

I see you've posted this same laziness for more than one Wilco song. Perhaps you can muster the energy to expand on why you believe Wilco tracks should not be played as often as they currently are?

Eazy, he most possibly doesn´t quite like them...that much.
Janis Joplin - Summertime
(Aug 28, 2007 - 05:07)

Sarah Blasko - Always on This Line
(Aug 14, 2007 - 05:19)
Pretty unoriginal. If I wanted this kind of style i´d take Sophie Zelmani.
The Who - Magic Bus (live)
(Aug 13, 2007 - 09:02)
Luv it. Someone said Rock and Roll is dead, he must be lost somewhere in the Bahamas....
Ben Harper - Faded
(Aug 08, 2007 - 10:47)
The live version from the "Live from Mars" concert with the "Whole lotta Love" (anyone noticed the similarities? )medley is GREAT.
Ray LaMontagne - You Can Bring Me Flowers
(Aug 07, 2007 - 02:09)
Amazing artist, but this one is not his best at all. Some others in this album deserve 9s and 10s...
Dr. Didg - Devon

Leo Kottke - Pepe Hush
(Jul 20, 2007 - 08:47)
You guys really like this? Great to have people with different musical tastes in RP,...
Cowboy Junkies - Spiral Down
(Jul 18, 2007 - 05:30)
Is it me or most of their songs sound very VERY similar...?
Al Stewart - On the Border (live)
(Jul 18, 2007 - 04:01)
Not a bad song, but Spanish flamenco guitarrist would laugh at his technique, sounds so "cold" when compared to a authentic flamenco guitar, just playing the correct guitar diagram doesn´t make it for me. Where is the warmth, where is the feel?
Porcupine Tree - Sentimental
(Jul 18, 2007 - 03:15)
PT must be the rock band I enjoy the most thanks to RP. What an amazing creativity and delicious sound and dynamics...
Neil Young - Like A Hurricane
(Jul 18, 2007 - 03:11)
With my respect to him and all his fans, I hate his falsetto voice, there is something about him I really don´t like, I have tried many times to enjoy his songs, but sounds horrible to me. 3.
Nik Kershaw - Wounded

La Bamba, maybe?
Red Hot Chili Peppers - Slow Cheetah
(Jul 13, 2007 - 03:58)
I´d rate this with a 6, but "pretty good" sounds too good, so I´ll give it a 5, just because all their latest stuff sounds the same, sems like they run out of ideas...sad...
Jeff Buckley - Hallelujah
(Jul 10, 2007 - 11:36)
What an outstanding cover, voice and artist. TRUE artist. The version from Mistery White Boy is even better...
Quannum - I Changed My Mind
(Jul 10, 2007 - 06:27)

John Lee Hooker - Spellbound

That hammond plays way too much, this would be much more enjoyable if it was more intimate and delicate, that voice is pure blues....

(Jul 05, 2007 - 10:53)
I like it but listened to this 3 times in 3 consecutive days in RP.
Jesse Cook - Turning

(Jul 05, 2007 - 10:24)
Sad sad song,....emotionally intense...musically..6
Vlatko Stefanovski & Miroslav Tadic - Dafino, Vino Crveno
(Jul 05, 2007 - 05:16)
If I ever got to play half that well,....
The Audreys - Oh Honey
(Jul 05, 2007 - 05:08)
A well deserved 8.
Grant Lee Buffalo - Dixie Drug Store
(Jul 04, 2007 - 15:05)
Not bad, but I like Fuzzy much more than this...
Counting Crows - Mr. Jones
(Jul 04, 2007 - 08:58)
Overplayed,...
Bob Marley - War
(Jul 04, 2007 - 08:32)

Machine Gun from Hendrix is WAY better than this IMHO.
Robin Trower - Day of The Eagle
(Jul 04, 2007 - 08:28)
Not bad, but if I want Hendrix I choose Hendrix. Personally I prefer Scott Finch´s guitar skills....

383 "10" votes,....stunning, well, one more won´t harm anyone ;)

Very nice song, never heard it before, somewhere between 7 and 8.

Ari Hest - Them
(Jul 02, 2007 - 02:52)
Might be me but there is a Coldplay-Chris Isaak mixture here....
Rodrigo Y Gabriela - Diablo Rojo
(May 04, 2007 - 05:04)
Great technique, rhythm and sound!!
Specials - Ghost Town
(Aug 16, 2006 - 07:26)

(Apr 25, 2006 - 09:42)
Great transition there!!! What a DJ!!
David Lindley & Hani Naser - Tijuana
(Apr 17, 2006 - 12:05)
Funny way of playing a flamencoish style to speak about mexicans, if you like the guitar, go find some true flamenco guitar out there. Not bad though...This actually is a rumba (the easiest flamenco "style", called "palo" in Spain but played very slowly...)
