Coldplay - Don't Panic
(May 29, 2006 - 04:15)
a couple of their songs might survive the overkill and the over-earnest persona--that's not so bad; lots of good bands only seem to have one sound for a while don't they?
Leo Kottke - Jack Gets Up
(May 29, 2006 - 03:34)
not sure about this, but I'm not mad about most songs that are 'playful'... Has he done anything outstanding? Sounds like he might.
Moby - Why Does My Heart Feel So Bad
(May 28, 2006 - 05:15)
Please write more crass comments every time a Moby track is played. Add a personal insult of the guy while you're at it--makes you look great.
Led Zeppelin - When The Levee Breaks
(May 27, 2006 - 05:45)

been looking for a drive like R.L. Burnside's 'It's Bad You Know'...and it was in this song all the time: anyone know others?

Here Zeppelin found a theme to match the scale of their music.
Tina Dico - In The Red
(May 27, 2006 - 03:55)
lovely, but unconvincing somehow... not Sandy Denny
RJD2 - Since We Last Spoke
(May 26, 2006 - 17:13)
I think most would be wanting this to end quite a while before it does.
Icehouse - Heaven
(May 26, 2006 - 17:04)
This catches the wistfulness of a beautiful song, but there's a nervous urgency and camp thing going on in David Byrne's version (not the original?) that I miss in this singer.
