Tori Amos - Battle Of Trees (Nov 16, 2011 - 20:26) | Awesome! More crap from tori to make me sick

Unfortunately, I think most people had become tired with the U2 OVEREXPOSURE back then and didn't really get the concept. When I first heard Discotheque I was amazed at how different it was from the "typical" U2 sound. I loved it then and still do now.
Pop may have been their last GREAT album... the rest have just been radio friendly same ole same ole. I still enjoy it but miss the U2 that was unpredictable and trend setting....

If he said, "I don't like "african-american" music or "hispanic" music" then that's perhaps grounds for your hostile reply.

Poe - Wild (Apr 26, 2010 - 15:45) | bindi wrote: Why do I find so many artists on RP so interesting, and Poe so very mundane and forgettable?
Soo TRUE!
Unfortunately the majority of the "mundane and forgettable" tend to be the groups with a female lead... not to hate but they just don't seem to be very interesting. There are plenty of very good bands with women on vocals but all to often the ones played here feel forced... like there is some unknown quota to balance out the male voices.... Again, nothing wrong with great music no matter who is singing, it just seems like some are played just for variety sake (not because they are very good)

Poor choices for "overrated"... lets try some bands that havn't been copied/revered/ influential over the last 30 years.... I can't really "get" Zappa but there is no denying his talent. PJ is one of the all time greats, same with Nirvana and Genesis.... lets leave the "overrated" for bands like Traveling Wilburrys, Oasis, Tori Amos......

Pink Floyd - Fearless (Apr 20, 2010 - 10:31) | The crowd is singing a soccer song at the end.....more specifically.....
This fades into "You'll Never Walk Alone," which is a song from Carousel, a musical by Rodgers and Hammerstein. However, the song appears to have been recorded at a soccer match, hence the cheers and chanting at the end. This is because Liverpool fans use this as their fight song. It appears that at the end, the multitude is chanting "Liverpool."

Thievery Corporation - Doors Of Perception (Feat Gunjan) (Apr 20, 2010 - 08:58) | Hard to find any Thievery that's not enjoyable. The Police - Wrapped Around Your Finger (Jan 27, 2010 - 13:31) | I think its the classics that make the new stuff exciting.... sometimes its just nice to remissness about what it was like the first few times you heard one of the all time classics..... never gets old
msbella wrote:Okay, I've refrained till now, but these "classic" retreads that were played MILLIONS of times over and over and over again in their heyday are SO not what I want to hear on RP. There's a huge selection of interesting, beautiful, NOT-overexposed music out there... like the wonderful piece by Ray LaMontagne that followed this one today. Okay, rant over, except to plead with you (the programmers) to just skip the well-worn in favor of roads less traveled....

Roy Orbison - She's A Mystery To Me (Jan 27, 2010 - 12:50) | Funny..... I just can't stand him......

Tori Amos - Smells Like Teen Spirit (Jan 27, 2010 - 12:49) | Could be the worst somg played on this outstanding station.... makes me mute every time. Please, if you HAVE to play it.... lets keep it to the hours of 3-4 am.... that way the majority of us are safe from hearing it again
