Arctic Monkeys - Do Me A Favour
(Feb 20, 2009 - 05:19)
This band is starting to drive me crazy. They were catchy at first a few years ago, now they are just getting annoying.

Carbon Leaf - One Prairie Outpost
(Feb 18, 2009 - 07:44)
sounds a lot like Uncle Tuplo.

Morphine - Take Me With You
(Feb 18, 2009 - 07:38)
I got a older morphine album at the library a few months ago. It was good, but sounded a lot different than this.

Jenny Lewis - See Fernando
(Feb 18, 2009 - 06:24)

Jenny Lewis makes me drool. I like her music too!

Donna the Buffalo - There Must Be
(Apr 23, 2008 - 12:00)
This is really cool.
Radiohead - Nude
(Apr 23, 2008 - 10:59)

Wow. The arrogance displayed here is astounding. With your nose so high in the air do you often find yourself tripping over things?

from dictionary.com

ignorance=lacking knowledge or information as to a particular subject or fact: ignorant of quantum physics.

arrogance=making claims or pretensions to superior importance or rights; overbearingly assuming; insolently proud: an arrogant public official.

Ok, most of the Radiohead haters comments are ignorant, and mine was arrogance. I can live with that. A arrogant person can still listen to music that is outside his own generation. Something a ignorant person cant.
Bob Dylan - Stuck Inside of Mobile with the Memphis Blues Again
(Apr 23, 2008 - 08:05)
Randyl, good synopsis. However, anybody with a IQ above 50 should know why Dylan is and always will be great for music.

One of the best albums ever!
The Decemberists - The Crane Wife 3
(Apr 22, 2008 - 12:08)
one year ago from today I saw this band live.
The Kinks - A Well Respected Man
(Apr 22, 2008 - 11:43)
Great song.

SOund like they are singing about a tool though.
Pearl Jam - Of the Girl
(Apr 22, 2008 - 11:17)
nice
Modest Mouse - Dashboard
(Apr 22, 2008 - 08:01)

This band use to be great, but this shit just sucks. Mindless pop drivel.

Have you heard this album? They just keep getting better. Don't get me wrong, but I use to listen to MM since Building Nothing out of Something. Fly in a jar, spitting venom, and so many others are great on this album. Dashboard is just overplayed.
Los Lobos - Bertha

These Dead covers sound way better than the real deal.

uhhhhhhhhh, have you ever really heard the real deal?

Test me test me.
Why don't you arrest me?
Throw my in the jail house till the sun goes down.
Nick Drake - Pink Moon
(Apr 21, 2008 - 12:31)
I really like this. It is very chill. I got to go the used cd store by my house this evening and see if I can get any of his stuff.
Flaming Lips - Fight Test
(Apr 21, 2008 - 12:13)
RP made me buy this album
Grateful Dead - Eyes of the World
(Apr 21, 2008 - 12:01)
God damn it! I missed eyes of the world so I could talk to my boring ass douche bag boss. Life isn't fair.
Bob Dylan - Love Sick
(Apr 21, 2008 - 11:44)

You probably need one of these for your sickness.

from people who don't get good music.
Arctic Monkeys - Do Me A Favour
(Apr 21, 2008 - 11:33)
I can accept these guys once in a while I guess. These guys will get my lowest score that I will give on RP.
Cracker - Loser
(Apr 21, 2008 - 06:54)

Agreed. Jerry sang this with the depth it deserves.
Still, it's such a great song, IMO can't be ruined

Very true. Jerry sang many songs with the depth they deserved. In my opinion I never liked Joan Osborne's Brokedown palace either. Just not the same as Jerry singing it.
New Order - Your Silent Face
(Apr 21, 2008 - 06:19)
Their song, "tempation" on the Trainspotting soundtrack got me into them. I recently got all their music on my computer. I still haven't given all of it a whirl.
Vince Guaraldi Trio - Linus and Lucy
(Apr 18, 2008 - 08:39)
What Deaf people would rate this a 1? I understand that maybe you think of Charlie Browns Christmas special when you hear this. But this is great kick-ass jazz.
Talking Heads - Crosseyed And Painless
(Apr 18, 2008 - 08:31)
Dave_K wrote:
Ive been rating several Talking Heads songs low lately.. I think this is why people love them

so people love music you think sucks????

Radiohead - Karma Police
(Apr 18, 2008 - 08:25)
one of my all-time favorite albums
Corey Harris - Basehead
(Apr 18, 2008 - 07:24)
really cool.
Grateful Dead - Jack Straw
(Apr 18, 2008 - 07:21)
Please play Jack Straw!
Grateful Dead - Me & My Uncle
(Apr 18, 2008 - 07:19)
Yes! Yes! Yes!
Bob Dylan - It Takes a Lot to Laugh...
(Apr 18, 2008 - 07:17)
Lots from Highway 61 lately. But I like it!
Death Cab For Cutie - I Will Follow You into the Dark
(Apr 18, 2008 - 06:27)
If a song is good, then who cares if RP plays it if it is also on clearchannel stations. Just so it is good is what matters, and I never heard RP play a bad song.
Texas Lightning - Enjoy The Silence
(Apr 18, 2008 - 05:35)
I actually like when bands do covers on a totally different level. I hate covers that sound just like the song they are covering. This is interesting. I like it.
Rusted Root - Blue Diamonds
(Apr 17, 2008 - 18:53)
ahhh, my favorite neo-hippie yinzers!!!

No wonder a neo-hippie yinzer like me would like them.
Radiohead - Nude
(Apr 17, 2008 - 18:19)
True great music deserves so many ignorant people rating it low. I love all the radiohead haters. Just for once, close your eyes, listen to the music, and let the your mind follow the music.....if it can.
Pearl Jam - Off He Goes
(Apr 17, 2008 - 18:05)

Funny, me too. I am always on the run, and never to stay.
Bob Dylan - Positively 4th Street
(Apr 17, 2008 - 17:57)
If I was a master theif, perhaps I would rob them.
The Shins - New Slang (When You Notice the Stripes)
(Apr 17, 2008 - 17:41)
Jesus, every time I hear this, I remember my messed up nights in Denver. Especially with the beginning "Gold teeth and a curse for this town." When I just moved there I was playing this over and over again, and then had the most messed up night on Colfax ave..... Great choice. Thank you.
The Cars - Moving In Stereo
(Apr 17, 2008 - 16:57)
When all those hair bands were playing during this time, these guys were one of the actual cool bands. Them and the talking heads, dire straits, and a few others.
Rolling Stones - Let It Bleed
(Apr 17, 2008 - 16:48)
Many Stones songs I feel are just overplayed. However, this song is great always!
Thievery Corporation - Strange Days (Doors remix)
(Apr 17, 2008 - 13:13)
andrewimft wrote:
Sampling + a disco beat and a little fuzzy guitar = lazy way to make some cash.

I don't hate it, only because it's the Doors, but this is a little bit like having the Doors on your stereo while your neighbor plays some second rate disco coming in through your window.

LOL
Gary Jules - Mad World
(Apr 17, 2008 - 13:04)
theirishtickler wrote:
was this in donny darko? oh what a great film/soundtrack

Yes, everytime I hear this song I think of Donnie Darko.
Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds - Hold on to Yourself

Krispian wrote:

If we were to put Nick Cave and Jim "pretentious fat ass" Morrison in a cage match, we'd see Nick kicking serious butt - physically and lyrically!

My 3 year old nephew could kick Jim Morrison's ass lyrically by babbling whatever he babbles while watchign sponge bob.

Jim Morrison=most over-rated "poet" ever.

This is about Nick Cave though. Back on topic.
Bob Dylan - Highway 61 Revisited
(Apr 17, 2008 - 11:42)
Somebody please explain. By the looks mostly everybody rated this high. There were 33 people who had the audacity to rate it a 1. Is that all the people who are on here complaining about one of the greatest song writers ever? If so, why do the hundreds who rated this high not speak up?
Radiohead - Weird Fishes/Arpeggi
(Apr 17, 2008 - 11:08)
rickhoran wrote:

i can only answer "yes".

Every song from this cd i have heard on RP is irritating. Hopefully soon, RP will stop playing this.

I hope RP doesn't stop playing radiohead. I love hearing it, and I also love readng the anti-radiohead crowd complain and whine and not open their ind for other musical taste.
Ane Brun - The Treehouse Song
(Apr 17, 2008 - 10:07)
this is very chill and sounds great
Rusted Root - Send Me On My Way
(Apr 17, 2008 - 08:23)
they're not bad for a bunch of yinzer neo-hippies
Gorillaz - Demon Days
(Apr 17, 2008 - 08:05)
one of the most unique albums I heard since Ok computer in my opinion.
Counting Crows - Round Here
(Apr 17, 2008 - 07:30)
I like the Counting Crows, but most of their songs make me want to run off into the woods and cry.
God is an Astronaut - Remembrance Day
(Apr 17, 2008 - 07:17)
this is really beautiful
Coldplay - Shiver
(Apr 17, 2008 - 06:51)
I like coldplay when it comes on the radio. However, I never go out of my way to listen to them.
Radiohead - Reckoner
(Apr 17, 2008 - 06:18)
one of my many favorite songs from this album. This one was the first one I heard, and I am still can't get enough.
Grateful Dead - Franklin's Tower
(Apr 17, 2008 - 06:15)
now this is why I told the IT guy to shove it. So I can come back to RP and hear music like this!
The Decemberists - The Crane Wife 3
(Apr 16, 2008 - 13:29)
I remember seeing this band live in Denver when all the shit in my life hit the fan. Fond memories, great show, messed up times.
Rocky Votolato - White Daisy Passing
(Apr 16, 2008 - 13:16)
very nice
Chick Corea & Bela Fleck - Mountain
(Apr 16, 2008 - 13:08)

Jon Redfern - I Love The Sun
(Apr 16, 2008 - 12:37)
Very soothing. I like.
Bob Dylan - Love Minus Zero/No Limit
(Apr 16, 2008 - 12:32)
When it comes to Dylan, I first heard Stuck in Mobile with the Memphis Blues again, and then this song. I was hooked.
Talking Heads - Born Under Punches
(Oct 06, 2007 - 19:24)
I always thought the talking heads was kind of the 80s psychedelic music.
Jr. Walker and the All Stars - Shotgun
(Oct 06, 2007 - 19:21)

I love this song, but when I listen to it I feel it is more on the depressing side.
