Midlake - Young Bride (Jan 28, 2013 - 03:53) | It's odd that this is the only track from this album on RP - there are several better ones!
|
Shearwater - You As You Were (Oct 24, 2012 - 07:13) | I love this, makes me want to go back and hear that album again. They are also fantastic live!
|
Adele - Someone Like You (Feb 29, 2012 - 04:07) | I very rarely dislike strongly the music on RP, but this is an exception. Massively over played over here, and there's something about her voice that really makes my skin crawl...rather like the late (and unlamented, by me), Whitney Houston. Thanks for the PSD button, Bill!

The Stone Roses - Love Spreads (Jul 29, 2011 - 04:04) | OK so the second coming was not all it should have been but this tracks kicks ass. Volume going up to 11.
|
Peter Gabriel - Feeling Begins (Jul 18, 2011 - 06:56) | Absolutely love this track. The album is one of the few I have bought in multiple formats. It's that good that sometimes I just *have* to hear it.
|
Uncle Tupelo - Moonshiner (Jul 14, 2010 - 02:30) | bachbeet wrote: Just don't like songs about alcoholism. Even less when they try to glorify or romanticize the disease.
Okay, better not listen to any country music then...
personally, I *love* this song, Uncle Tupelo were great...

Carlos Paredes - Canção Verdes Anos (Mar 03, 2010 - 09:39) | It's the portuguese guitar..a small guitar with twelve strings and a distinctive pear shape..it's really beautiful, and mostly heard in fado, more rarely in instrumental work. When you do, it's usually Carlos Paredes.

What is he playing? Bazouki? Tenor mandolin or something like that?
