"Sivert Høyem wrote the song "Prisoner of the road" in 2010 in order to raise awareness for the worlds 43,2 million refugees and IDPs. Buy the song on Itunes and help The Norwegian Refugee Council protect refugees and IDPs fleeing from war". From a video on YouTube.

This is a song about refugees, highly apposite for our times, and extremely moving. The guy has a brain and a conscience and a sense of solidarity.

Awesome. Music with a purpose from an incredible artist.

John Martyn - Solid Air
(Jan 27, 2012 - 07:47)
Again, I wish there was a rating of "odd." My voice teacher would scream if she heard this.

Robert Plant - Ship of Fools
(Jan 25, 2012 - 13:10)
The ALL-TIME BEST Robert song EVER!

Best listened to in headphones while sitting on the beach - gazing into the ocean.

It's been my favorite for as long as I can remember. I got the amazing chance to meet him years back in Myrtle Beach after the House of Blues concert and when I told him it was my favorite song, he said, "Yes, it's a girly song." Ha! I bet there are lots of guys in this forum who like this song too! Still - meeting him was quite the experience! We got to sit and have a drink with him and his band. Definitely unforgettable! The musicians were very cool.

Euphoria - Devil May Care
(Sep 22, 2011 - 07:58)
Cool song. People may think I am nuts. But I am a Peanuts fanatic and the beginning instrument reminds me of when Snoopy goes away and is on the bus - he takes out his suitcase and about the only thing in it is this little instrument. He rides along making this music. Am I the only person who remembers that? :-)
