Thats pretty funny, never seen that one.  The phrase came from a Dead Milkmen song from the late 80's:

She'll dance to anything.
You'll dance to anything.

Okay, look at you,
Don't you look like Siouxsie Sioux.
How long did it take to get that way?
What a terrible waste of energy.
You wear black clothes, say you're poetic.
The sad truth is you're just pathetic.
Get into the groove, get out of my way.
I came here to drink, not to get laid.
So why don't you just go on home.
If you want to moan, you'll have to moan alone.

You'll dance to anything...
You'll dance to anything...

Don't try to tell me that you're an intellectual
Cause you're just another boring bisexual.
("I met Andy Warhol at a really chic party")
Blow it out your hair cause you work at Hardees.
80 pounds of make up on your art school skin.
80 points of I.Q. located within.
Know what you are? You're a bunch of ...
Artfags! Artfags!
Choke on this you dance-a-teria types!

You'll dance to anything by the Communards.
You'll dance to anything by Book of Love.
You'll dance to anything by The Smiths.
You'll dance to anything by De-peche Mode.
You'll dance to anything by Public Image Limited.
You'll dance to anything by Naked Truth.
You'll dance to anything by any bunch of stupid Europeans who come over here with their big hairdos bent on taking OUR money instead of giving your cash, where it belongs, to a decent American artist like myself!

You'll dance to anything!

True, true.

BTW this is officially "Shaver," the band formed by Billy Joe and his son Eddie.

Meh.

Good guitar playin' almost saves this, but the lyrics and singin' 'style' are the kind that gives country music a bad name.

There's plenty of country music I can like, but this ain't it.

Nice geetar feedback effects at the end too. I'm willing to give his other tunes a listen if RP plays 'em, but if it's gonna be more of that I'm a bad boy type lyrics, meh.

Billy Joe Shaver is the biggest prosthelytizing, hypocritical sack of $#!+ I have ever run across. He constantly tells people that they need to be saved, but he is a genuine, bona fide @$$hole--somehow he seems okay with this dichotomy.

From Wikipedia:

Police in Lorena, TX about 80 miles north of Austin, issued arrest warrants for Shaver April 2, 2007 on charges of aggravated assault and possessing a firearm in a prohibited place. This was in connection with an incident outside a tavern, Papa Joe's Texas Saloon in Lorena on March 31, 2007, in which Shaver shot a man, Billy Bryant Coker, in the face with a handgun. Coker's injuries were reported as not life-threatening.

Witnesses interviewed by police report hearing Shaver saying "where do you want it?" and then, after the shot was fired, "Tell me you are sorry" and "No one tells me to shut up." Coker told police the attack was unprovoked. Shaver's attorney declared that Shaver had shot Coker "in self-defense" after Coker threatened Shaver with a knife.

After unsuccessfully attempting to surrender to police in Austin, TX, who were unaware of the warrant, Shaver turned himself in at McLennan County Jail in Waco, TX on Tuesday, April 3. He was released after an hour on $50,000 bond and gave his scheduled performance at Waterloo Records in Austin that evening, where he reportedly told fans, "Don't forget to pray for me, and tell your kids to pray for me, too."

Great songwriter though.

Fair enough, apologies on the art-*** statement. I retract it. Also, if the guy is an armed felon, and I really don't know about his personal life, he is a dirt bag, plain and simple -just like a rapper who advocates killing police officers. Nothing to do with where he is from, his skin color, favorite brand of breakfast cereal, etc. I do have a predjudice against dirt bags. But if he wants me to pray for him, I will.

I was going to agree, except you lost credibility in praising diversity while using the phrase "art-fag."

Damn shame. Eddie was only married about a year, to a girl who worked at The Saxon Pub, back when it was my home-away-from-home. Everyone was pretty broken up about it, but at the same time, everyone knew the demons he battled. It took a long time for Billy Joe to recover: it was nearly the final straw in a life full of tough times.

Billy Joe Shaver is the MAN. Ain't everybody's cuppa, that's for sure, and this isn't my fave of his, but Mr. Shaver is the definition of a tough ol' country boy.

He has an advanced degree from The School of Hard Knocks: his life story makes Job look like a piker. He's still kickin' though.

This tune is mighty countrified, but he can rock out with the best of 'em. Shaver is the real deal.

I wouldn't say I'm much of a fan of the kind of music that the minimart pipes outside to keep the thugs at bay, but this is a definite exception.

Hot sh*t! Infectious beat, driving bass, tasty electric guitar, and the perfect vocal! The man can *sing*
