Not much of a Van Morrison fan, but you gotta love this bass line...killer!

I never have understood how anyone likes this guy as a vocalist. He always sounds like Fred Flintstone with a head cold having a bad acid flashback.

But hey, I like Neil Young, Talking Heads, Radiohead, etc. Not to mention Dylan. So who am I to complain about some guy's terrible voice, right?

Right!

It just doesn't get any better than this. Some performances are so transcendant that they stand up after being played millions of times.

Yes, but unlike other songs that start to suck and sound bad to the ear after being played to death, this is one those that is so great it doesn't suck, but just becomes wrote background noise after hearing for the 9,376,503rd time.

Me too--probably much worse than DSoTM. Again we see how residents of Columbia, MD, are sharp people, smart folks!

This is a great song from an excellent artist, but it is sooooooo played out. Despite that, I had to give it an 8.

Am I imagining it, or is this being played at a faster tempo than the standard recording of the song?

There's a name I haven't heard in a while. Saw him opening for Sting & Concrete Blonde on the "Soul Cages" tour.

Sting: "Just the one name, eh? Hmmm . . ."

What's Vinx about these days?

Holy cow! That is impressive! Each of these is an RP staple. I never had this issue - LP or CD - but you're getting me to reconsider.

btw, Moondance holds down position #247 on Amazon's all-time sales list.

As an album side, that's up there with Led Zep IV and Sgt. Peppers as far as I'm concerned. Great stuff.

Precisely. :nodhead:

Well then, my craptastic day just got a whole lot better. I can always count on RP for that mid-day pick-me-up.

ss you did. So,

Thank you for that comment. This is a great song. Where it fits in musically is not important.

There, I said it.

p.s. He wrote Gloria! D'ya think that's an overrated rock song?

Godlike.
This happened to be playing in the background as our one and only daughter was born. Cool doctor, cool music, and thus a cool kid.
