It needs nothing but a goat, to drag you away - I'm stealing that. Your rants are pure absurd art! Dada is alive and well. |

This song is one of the few that makes me cry. Such gorgeous hopelessness. Mick sounds like he's lying on the floor and not at all well, but he argues that "wild horses couldn't drag me away." It makes me think of love. It makes me think of addiction. He makes it even better as he looks to the future. "We'll ride them someday." Will that day ever come? It's as heartbreaking as the hopeful chords are clean, pure, and shimmering.

not always. Led Zeppelin, Yardbyrds, etc never felt the need to ape a Yanks accent and what I was wondering is what was the SPECIFIC inspiration for Jaggers accent on these songs (Wild Horses, Country Honk, Honky Tonk Women, Fool to Cry etc). Considering Mick is one of the greatest poseurs of modern times, I am sure this was done very carefully. |

WTF??! Hey, you! Cut it out! Better still...go away. No one cares that you rant and rave about songs you don't like, but to attack someone's name?! What's up with that? Geez... |

These guys still rock and roll and it's nice to see them touring even after playing for five decades.

Still - the Stones are up there, in my book, with Zep, Aerosmith, and the Beatles as icons - broken or not. |

Mick Jagger Portrait (c) 2007 I was on such a tight deadline to get this done. I had a week to do two portraits, which resulted in my having to be working on it from when I got home from school (3:00pm) to 11:00pm then getting up at around 5:20am and working till 7:45am three nights in a row. The other portrait is Ron Woods (jya jya, rolling stones i know ) They go up for sale tomorrow at the Christchurch Art Centre as a fundraiser for my trip to Mexico Time Taken: 12hrs Tools Used: 6H, 4H, HB, B, 2B, 3B, 4B, 6B, sizes 2-8 blending sticks, kneaded eraser, cotton wool balls, ruler, and an average-joe type eraser! phew! |
