Why oh why did I not start listening to JJ Cale earlier .... ??? Man this guy knows what he's doing.
As for the playlist, I could go for some Yellow Moon by the Neville Brothers .... eh?? Nice so far though!

Have I just heard Cale, Clapton and Knopfler in this set? Many nice crossroads...

JJ Cale has made some of the most irresistible boogie music ever put to disk.

Prefer the "Naturally" album version, but still a 9.

Too true, infinitely preferable to the previous artist. |

New comments, I see.
He and EC have an album out since the last go-round here. Not bad.
In an interview, JJ Said it was said of him that he only writes one song. That may be true, but its a good one- it has sustained his career into its 5th decade.

so i can listen to it on my brand new stereo - it's AIWA, but all the electronics inside is made by SONY. that's right. can play the audio tape indefinitely.
If the album you're talking about is "Naturally" it also is part of my being. My old car stereo finally ate the tape after having played it over and over on my weekly road trips to my boyfriend's place high in the Rocky Mountains so long ago. What memories! Got to get the CD! |

Cale gets such a great vibe on his songs sometimes. Warm and lazy and comfortable, really great...
