Have you seen that commercial "pour some shook up ramen...you know, soup?" (pour some sugar on me) This comment made me crack up--Icould see how it would trip you up though. Thanks, I needed that. I'll probably sing "a-mobidy-say-mobidy-young" in honor of you from now on just for a chuckle. :)

After hearing this song, I saw Ice Age, and I kept waiting for the monkey torpedoes...

...otherwise why would they keep saying "SIMIAN AWAY!"

Must be a good tune.

After watching "Ice Age" with my 3 year old for the 27th time, this song is pounded into my head. But I don't mind. I originally thought it was David Byrne also! :)

Woo! Great tune, lots of fun. Saw these guys at the long-lost HORDE Fest years ago, and they were truly amazing live, with band members picking up each other's instruments and jamming flawlessly.

I think David Byrne could win a lawsuit with these guys. I miss the Heads too. But there is inspired and then there is cut & paste.

I thought the same thing! And when I heard it on Ice Age, I thought how appropiate!

Oh well...goes up there with, "Excuse me while I kiss this guy"!

I love these guys!

Saw them last weekend play a gig in Indiana, PA...

They have a total international sound and pack an electrified punch... Even minus their electric amps and mixing boards...

True musicians and beautiful people.

That is such a great movie, even as an adult! John Leguizamo is hilarious as the voice of Sid the Sloth! Adults who haven't seen this, need to rent it.

So harsh viafra77. I saw that same show on the east coast...great show. Santana is sweet live, but Rusted Root made some good music too. It made for a great combo show.

I caught Rusted Root on TV.. sessions at west 54 or something like that and thought they were awesome. Their recorded stuff never did it for me though.

This is a good song though. :)

Yep, I thought it was a David Byrne song as well. Specifically, I thought it was something from his post-Talking-Heads "experimenting with African music" phase, during which I stopped caring about his music.

And I thought the chorus was "Simian, The Way."(*) I thought it might be the sort of pean to indigenous African life forms one might write if one went to Africa to "discover" or "bring back" their music under the assumption that centuries of culture and music were just waiting for someone from "far away" to reinterpret it.

(*) Then again, I always wondered why Rush sang about submarines in their song "Free Will." You know - "I will choose a bathysphere / I will choose free will."
