I was playing this disk in my car on the way to the office this morning.

On the freeway at 85 (eat your hearts out all you guys in L.A., Texas has better and faster freeway traffic) ... sunglasses on heading into the sun ..... sipping coffee tapping your foot on the floorboards ..... THIS is driving music ...........

Nice segue from PF, Bill.
I do love this song... and Depeche. I don't get all the hate aimed toward them.

I'm always surprised how well Depeche Mode holds up over time compared to other music that I liked at that time. You can't deny that it's great stuff. I like it almost as much now as I did back then.

I was about to say that it was rather cruel of Bill to place Depeche Mode after Pink Floyd, but this song has more legs than I originally gave it credit for.

I don't understand why someone would care what Tom Petty likes or doesn't like.

The intro is nice but I think the bridge is actually the defining part of the song.

Orgasmic! Seriously, that's what I call that fade! To go from PF's Young Lust to DM's Policy of Truth. That was simply... orgasmic.
