Bill must have been listening to WLS out of Chicago when he was a kid. It was a great station in the late 60's and early 70's when I was growing up in Northern Wisconsin. Only came in at night.

But the fun was ratcheted up during the second encore, as "Given to Fly" segued into its melodic inspiration, Led Zeppelin's "Going to California," which Plant and two members of his band the Strange Sensation performed beautifully"
Whoa! I was just going to post about how this sounds a bunch like "Going to California." Gotta love when you get a feeling about something and then there's documentation for it. Oh man, what a show that must have been. |

Not so much a "Tenfolk" as somone who just loves what I love. I am a Pearl Jam fan, though I tend to enjoy the grungier, rockier stuff. As PJ evolved, I was kind of left behind-not to say they don't do great stuff, but Ten and Vs. are so much a part of my adolescence that I can't really love their other stuff as much. But Eddie Vedder and the rest of the guys have a permanent place in this little grungy heart of mine. |

Please forgive me for rating this a 10. Was always a great tune. Not their best album, but there were a few nice tracks on there.
And to agree with the below post, the cover is funny.

I was pleasantly surprised when I heard the Into the Wild songs here on RP, so much that I purchased the CD. I have loved listening to it and have come to realize that Eddie Vedder is an amazing talent and that I have missed a great deal over the years.
i totally love the work Eddie did with Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan on the DEAD MAN WALKING soundtrack ... brilliant mix of vocal styles, talk about eclectic! |

I never liked stuff by Pearl Jam - at all. Then Vedder's work for the "Into The Wild" soundtrack really grew on me, especially after seeing the film. Now I find that the group's work is starting to appeal to me. So I got that goin for me. |
