Great song.

Too bad it has been beaten to death via repetition on commercial radio.

Agreed! This is a great song. I like Alanis also, but covering this song just doesn't seem to fit her.

As I've posted before: If you get tired of the original versions of this and other Seal songs, there are some really good remixes floating around out there...

really used to like this song...in the early 90s....and then it got killed by waaay to much overplay. sadly....hearing this now makes me cringe more than anything.

Whenever I hear this I think of cutting beautiful lines in the back bowls of Whistler.

A bunch of his music was used in a snowboarding video back in 95 or so and it ran so beautifully with the images it sort of became a Whistler anthem.

At least among the old-schoolers.

Crazy plays in the background of Greg Stump's ski/snowboard movie "Groove...Requiem in the Key of Ski" during a segment filmed at Whistler/Blackcomb. I'll always associate this song with the freedom of skiing and snowboarding.

Brings back memories from highschool. Excellent song, but pretty much the only song of his I really like.

I agree that too much Seal could result in insanity, but this is a great song on a great album. You must take everything in moderation, my mother always said!

I agree...to date, his first album is still my favorite, and he's never come close to "Crazy" since...
Lyrics are hopeful, soulful, a 10 on my list.

FWIW, the album linked above is wrong. This is on Seal <1991>.

Good tune, the whole album is pretty upbeat and poppy, but fun to listen to, and pretty smart.

I think Seal has one of the most outstanding voices in the world. His accustic album is a cracker!

Just saw him here in the Old Pueblo a few weeks ago...put on a good show. Not incredible, but solid. "Crazy" was one of the few standouts.

Still an excellent tune.

Wow, to hear Seal on RP!

In this I'm saying both that RP songs are very strong on the whole, and also that I hear some pretty sad junk from time to time, even though bad RP songs are better than the best they play on broadcast radio.

Well said!

I do have an open mind, but I really can't grasp or even explain how he and my other colleague, who does not use headphones with RP like me as an antidote, haven't gone completely bananas.

Well hey, I can relate to that. "Crazy" by Seal may be a good song, but I'm not going to spend the next hour listening to Seal. I mean, it's one thing to be objective. But seriously.

I wouldn't reccomend that. I used to work in a restraunt where the cable music feed was so repetetive you could set your watch by what song was playing. "Kissed By A Rose" came on every day a 11, like clockwork. I nearly took a butcher knife to the speaker a couple times.
Too much Seal = rapid descent into insanity.

This is good...but check out remixes of this song and other Seal songs - they really lend themselves to some creative work by DJ's and producers...

And, b/c I tend to agree with him, I try to get a little crazy every once in a while to shake things up and get the blood flowing.
