Bite yer tongue.

The less Jane Siberry (or Issa, her equally annoying alter ego) the better.

I had to look at the feedback on this track expecting it to be very polarized (love/hate). It wasn't quite as black and white as I expected. This track is old enough I think it's something of a time warp for some of us. It's interesting how time changes perceptions of some songs and not others.

speaking as an irishman I'd happily say that this tune coupled with the awful riverdance did more harm to irish culture than Oliver Cromwell
edit/ mind you the Prodigy mashup, smack my bitch up the orinoco flow is quite tolerable

This is not the least overplayed, given that it was a defining new age tune when it came out. I'm glad Bill G appreciates that.

Once more with feeling: Down with muso snobbery!

This is a good tune. That's all you really need.

when my niece was an infant (and being fussy) I used to dance her all around the house to this... music to calm the savage baby

Overplayed, but still a 9.

I haven't heard this song in something like a decade, and even then it was just 10 seconds of it in a commercial.

I really like this song, one of my favorites from her, it has good movement. I am torn between this one and Caribbean Blue for my favorite.

I see a lot of hostility directed toward this song.

Tough shit - it's haunting, magical, and beautiful.

I don't give a rat's ass if it's New Age or if it's been used to hawk merch or it was played incessantly on some radio station at one time. Enya could be... Yanni's wife - I don't care, it's still a nice song.

Good comment, Madman.

this song is over produced a bit, but it turned me on to her lovely voice, and through her to Clannad and Maire. Sentiment makes it an 8.

No!!! In my experience Enya is meant to be music for people that don't really listen to music.

There is something really WRONG about this comment. Of course B&R could have chosen better.

I agree. This song, along with Cocteau Twins, created a seismic shift in my musical thinking back then. There is a humanity in most of Enya's work that was severely lacking in what was termed "New Age" at the time. Beautiful song which fits certain moods just about perfectly. Even us hardcore rockers can get reflective at times.
