Water's Wall tour was the best all-around concert I've ever experienced (2x). Believe Reg still has a few shows planned for Europe in 2013.

Perfect for being trapped at work all weekend - in the midst of a city barricaded by the NATO summit. Maybe just a perfect assembly of sound, no matter what.

The version with Van (the Man) Morrison gets a "10". Please play that one, once in a while. Thanks!

Well, this song goes perfectly well with my mood right now. At my birthday alone in the Friday evening at my office. 6000 miles away from home in a small town in the UK.

I remember listening to this whilst driving over the yorkshire moors on a cold, misty, winters day in the late 1980's. Life at the time was pretty damned grim. Shortly afterwards I decided to leave my job working for an old industrial giant in the north of england and moved on the brighter, better things, never looked back! Not sure it was all down to Mr Waters and co but he helped! I love these stories in the comments section. Seriously, thanks for posting. These remind me of the humanity all over, the stories we all have, and in the background these wonderful songs as soundtracks of our lives. Perfect, in an imperect world. |
