What awful, awful, AWFUL harp !!! Please stop this. There should be a law against these groups who have got a 'name' so they 'play' (for lack of another word) instruments when they've got just NO IDEA !!!!

Yeah, OK. And you've sold how many records? They are only one of the most successful bands of all time. I love the harmonica (I'm sorry, i meant to say harp) and the energy of this song.

This is just what I needed to wake up this morning. I'm glad my cubicle is at the end of the aisle 'cause I'm wigglin' in my seat.

My rockin' old fart claim to fame is that I saw The Pretenders (with opening act the English Beat) at a bowling alley lounge in Florissant, Missouri. Top that, youngsters!

That sounds like the most surreal situation I've heard of in a long time. Kudos!

The first I had ever heard of them was when they were a new band opening for Elvis Costello...

I don't know if that beats your claim to fame but then again, I am pretty sure I no longer qualify as "youngester" either.

Soo f***ing great. I remember seeing Chrissie and the Pretenders two nights in a row in San Francosco just after this album, their third, was released. Boy did they rock. My brother tried to jump on stage to tell Chrissie how much he loved her. Good thing we had tickets for two nights.

But still true that they never reached the hights of their amazing first album again.

One summer when I was young(er) I had one tape in my walkman - one side was a REM mix and the other was a Pretenders mix...I think I had this sone on side B about three times. I mowed a lot of lawns that summer....

They sold out, I think. Not what they once were. Maybe they're still good at 3 AM.

Could not agree more -- and that GUITAR SOLO! AAARRGGHH!! YES!

When I first started playing in bands, we all wanted to BE the Pretenders - not a bad goal to start with !

Chrissie Hynde is freaking incredible, and the Pretenders are so tight. This song rocks! One of their best, and that says alot.
