Does this remind anyone else of Adam Sandler doing the Opera singer?

The Unforgettable Fire album was one of U2's finest hours, and this track one of the best on the album.
The combination of Daniel Lanois, Brian Eno, and the band, produced pure magic. Even the pics by Anton Corbijin work perfectly with the music.
Amazing stuff.
Well done Bill and RP for great programming and great taste. It's just getting better.
Also, check out U2 doing this song at Live Aid. One of the highlights.

Ah yes, the old McNichols Arena. Saw some great shows there and some lousy shows, back in the day. But U2 up at Red Rocks, which they recorded for Under a Blood Red Sky, was sublime. |

I don't get it. I really liked POP...there are some great songs on there. Go beneath the techno beats and synths and you will find many great tracks. I love the synths BTW, bands need to mix it up. In order to keep a career going for 20 plus years, you need to. People always freak when bands experiment, you should rejoice.... |

For all you marginal U2 fans (or worse), the album version is admittedly a little slow, but watching them do this song on Rattle and Hum is enough to bring even my goldfish to tears. The power and emotion is incredible |

Am I the only one that was already sick of U2 back in 1994?

Still a timeless song from one of my personal favorite U2 albums. Saw them do this song in concert with a little Stones' Sympathy for the Devil tossed in. Still the best live band around.

Love em, or not, you have to give U2 credit for allowing their music to evolve. Every album has a different sound or theme, while retaining that distinct U2 sound.

Maybe that's why I kinda like that Filter song.. because it reminds me of Bad subconsciously.. (can i get a spell check there?)
U2 are the biggest band in the world, yet remain the most approachable and down to earth.. Love these guys. :) :) :) |

This is why, a few months ago, I placed a little mason jar on my bureau and labelled it "U2 Live." I have since been adding to it every spare coin and stray dollar bill I come across. Next time they come in concert, I am there! (Well, hopefully I'll be able to afford a concert ticket with my spare change by, say, 2004...)
