I am truely surprised by the rather mediocre comments
this band and their songs get on RP.

I find their first album to be a TRUE MASTERPIECE,
one without a shred of a doubt!

The rest - anything they have produced at a later time
is rather disappointing, true!

The first album, where this tune has been taken from (as you know),
is overwhelmingly good!

I have to insist on that!

Agreed! Great song on an excellent album!

What happened is that the lead singer kept using his lame, overly-self-aware, rambling lyrical style. It only works for a couple of songs. You can't possibly talk that much in a song and always say something of lasting poetic value — so it wears real thin. That's my primary criticism of this act. They did have some great songs tho.

Couldn't disagree with you more about Radiohead though. Your ears must be full of crap from the other bands you've been listening to. Grab a Q-Tip and a copy of In Rainbows.

I thought the problem was that they did lame covers of lame Joni Mitchell songs and bubblegum for Shrek... The second album had a few gems on it still, but that was the last time they were close to this good...

Oh Crows, I miss you. I haven't much cared for what they've done lately, but I still love this song and this whole album. And I see I'm not the only one with this opinion...

ah! a truly great song! I remember when this album came out. My bro got it for Christmas and we both instantly loved it - though this song was never a fav of his it always was mine :)

I agree with an earlier comment though, none of their other albums have been as good as the first one. I don't know why though.....

What happened to these guys.  This album is so great and everything else i have heard by them is so lame to ordinary.  Oh well i'll just enjoy this one and write off the rest like so many other bands who drift away from being brilliant.  I'm talking to you Radiohead, Metallica, Arctic Monkeys etc.
