I was in the process of chasing down some websites from business cards I got from "Art in the Park" today, and this song came on, and I started to grin and feel pretty good about my online research. I really LIKE this song. Yes, quite a Jackson Browne feel to it, but the instrumentals are different enough that Blood Oranges has a sound all their own. (Note to self: Forego the salt lamp and buy this CD instead.)  |

Very nice indeed. AMG identifies them as The Blood Oranges. Unfortunately the band broke up in 1994.

But of course! It's in the opening credits...and it's only one of my favourite shows. I had to order Showtime just to see the 3rd season because it's not showing on any of the regular cable channels. |

I hear a little Jackson Brown, but a lot more Bruce Cockburn. Personally, I don't think the vocals are that weak...not everyone needs to belt it out. Quite likeable, for me.
