Decemberists/Sons & Daughters --> Bare Naked Ladies/Call and Answer --> Beck/Beautiful Way

What a lovely groove. Bill, you've got me grinning and tapping my foot with this set, and it's been a rough day, so that's an accomplishment. :-)

Beck is a genius, as he's capable of chameleoning into any genre or style. In fact it's hard to even classify a lot of what he does, which is brilliant.

The last couple hours on RP has been a very very good stretch...

Keep it up, please!

Beck has a way of being understated and uniquely effective at the same time.

This song sleep walks. And it's just reached the down staircase.

One of the best songs from his weakest album, his latest release is much better.

this whole album is worth a listen. this track is interesting because the rest of the album is pretty upbeat & kinda bouncy while this one's mellow. bless balance; bless beck.

I never noticed this before today... when Bill played this and Buzzin' Fly within hours of each other... has a lot of Buckley senior's sound in, doesn't it?

This guy is musical genius.

I remember buying Mellow Gold just for 'Loser', and after a while even the more abrasive songs on that album grew on me and I realized the brilliance of each song.
