There was a spark in this band -a real spark but it left at some stage - I can only envision myself listening to this stuff either with a joint or someone who likes Oasis that I want to stay friends with.

On this tune, he really does.

Sounds like Stone Roses singing "Leaving on a Jet Plane". Does Oasis have anything at all that sounds original?

I saw these guys live at Wembley when they played to 80,000, nobody quite does it like Oasis do and it was a fantastic day. Sure they have a bad reputation especially in the States where they messed their tour up. Of course Liam does'nt help his reputation, or the bands, by fighting most people he meets, you have to really appreciate where these guys come from, which is a derilict council estate in Manchester, for those of you that have visited the area you'll know what I'm saying.

You see most other artists 'play the game', y'know bend over and take it. Nicey nicey to the press and stuff to promote themselves. Oasis don't take that approach, if they don't like something they take direct 'action' (especially Liam). But frankly they don't care either if they p*ss people off along the way.

They remain one of the biggest selling bands of the 90's in the UK and are worth millions, and thats how we measure success in this day an age is'nt it? (however wrong that may be). Not many songs of theirs on here at the moment not even the sublime champagne supernova, may hafta start uploading some then ;)

I've heard of Oasis but I have not followed their personal lives. Can anyone provide me some examples of why they are considered such bad people?

How true. I just can't get past their dick-ish behavior to even try to enjoy their music. They are a flash-in-the-pan as far as I am concerned.
