Yes, she deserves a play on RP now and then...
She has certainly put out some precious gems over the years.
She approaches Uncle Bob at times with her lyrics and tuneful sensibilities...

A well-done song appropriate for the times.
Thanks for playing this song.

Dear Ms.Crow,
Thanks alot for not releasing another lame song. I do, however, have a complaint.
Now that everyone knows that you can achieve your musical potential, we have something of value to reference when you're sharing a greasy mic with Kid Rock or some other wonder of nature.

She can get close to country music without being annoying.

I've never taken this CD out of my vehicle. This song and this CD are from the salt of the earth. A "10" all around. |

this one always gets me. Too bad she's in love and getting married and is too happy to produce fabulous music these days. But it's still good...

Thanks RP for surprising like that. Sheryl came to save my blue Monday. I love that track and it's great to listen when I am feeling blue. Oh, damn November. Sheryl is a talent definitely. 10+

This woman can freakin rock it out in concert...
it's such a shame that many get (what I believe to be) a misconception of her talent because of what makes it in main-stream music when she really has some absolutely beautiful songs-- I wish she'd not feed into that main-stream popularity side so much... love this one.

I think it's interesting that almost every artist played on radio paradise is berated in the comments as "crap" IF said artist has EVER had a song become remotely popular on "mainstream" radio.
Touche! Just because you heard a song on the radio doesn't mean it's bad. Criticizing someone's voice, lyrics, etc. may be appropriate, but don't blame the artist because they get played on the airwaves. |

I like Sheryl Crow pretty well, but "Abilene" and "The difficult kind" are by far superior tracks to this one.

I'm a avid RP fan and SC employee and this is the first time I have heard a Sheryl song on our airwaves- this is a good one.
That guitar is a Longhorn- el cheapo guitar- but sounds great.
She wrote the song not long after she got back from her trip to Bosnia with whatshername Mrs Clinton.

I agree - I love this song. Hate every album except her self-titled one, hate her preachy politics when not singing, hate seeing her plastered all over the Launch website right next to Lindsay Lohan. But I do love this song. Would it be great to live in a world where you don't know anything about who's singing? Well, that would have its drawbacks, too.
Well, I actually didn't know who was singing this but liked it nonetheless. Then clicked over to see who it was after it was over and whoa! If I had known it was Sheryl, I would have expected something, I dunno, more orchestrated? I'm please to hear her in this light. |
