On of my top ten favorite albums ever!

And who else but RP would play this song, as long (and wondrously so!) as it is?

Just don't make the mistake of putting 21st Century Schizoid Man on instead. :) Fave LSD music was always Syd Barrett for some reason. Worst music ever on acid? Early Butthole Surfers...like fingernails on a chalkboard.

Most Pink Floyd, Barrett or Gilmore worked very well for me, but only pre-Dark Side.

Album rock is dead today. People just listen to "songs" on their Ipods. Really a shame. Listening to an entire album by some of the groups like Floyd and KC was an entirely different experience than just listening to a cut here and there.

That was thorougly bizarre! What an incredible movie.

Cuaron has an odd way with music - I was so floored to see Y Tu Mama Tambien end with Frank Zappa's "Watermelon in Easter Hay"

The best part was that I (uncultured swine that I am) had never heard the song before, heard it on RP, and that week saw Children of Men. RP enables happy coincidences :o).

This never seemed like a morning song to me. More of a late night, when the peak is past from the LSD and you're smoking a couple of joints to mellow out kind of a song....

Ah well, never mind...

Haven't seen that cover in a long long time.... brings back a lot of memories !

I hadn't heard this in ages... and it is still amazing! Still sends chills through my spine.

I second the earlier request for something from "In The Wake Of Poseidon". Or "Ladies of The Road" from Island.

King Crimson recorded so many great albums. I was lucky enough to see them during the Discipline tour in '81. Still one of the most memorable musical experiences in my life. As a guitar player myself, that show was mind blowing to me...

Major flashback here, too. I saw them in Pittsburgh in 73, I think. They were awesome but I didn't know any of the music they did that night. (I went hoping they would do something, anything from this album, Poseidon or Island, each of which I knew inside out. Still...) Truly one of my favorite albums ever, and some of my favorite (if fuzziest) memories along with it.
